Welcome to Sparkle & Sass ✨

Hi, I’m Jestine Rodrigues, founder of Sparkle & Sass. I created this space to uplift, guide, and empower moms in Connecticut who are navigating the often overwhelming world of special needs services especially during the critical transition after children age out of IEPs.

The name Sparkle & Sass reminds us of balance: we can embrace both softness and strength. We can shine brightly as mothers while standing firm in advocating for our children’s futures.

This mission is deeply personal for me. My nephew was diagnosed with autism at a young age, and now as a teenager, I’ve witnessed firsthand the ups and downs of navigating systems and services. That experience opened my eyes to the challenges families face. In 2014, I dedicated my career to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities working in group homes, day programs, and leadership roles. Over the years, I’ve seen the struggles, triumphs, and resilience of so many moms walking this same path.

Now, through Sparkle & Sass, I want to use what I’ve learned to make your journey clearer, easier, and more supported. Here, you’ll find real resources, heartfelt guidance, and encouragement to help you stay grounded, connected, and unapologetically you

Here’s how I can help you:

  • Consulting Sessions: One-on-one guidance to navigate DDS, case managers, and transitions.
  • Transition Planner & Packets: Step-by-step checklists and organizers to keep everything in order.
  • Ready-to-Use Templates: Letters, emails, and meeting prep tools to make communication easier.
  • Resource Hub: Direct links to DDS forms, applications, and local supports.
  • Workshops & Webinars: Group learning on key topics with space for questions.
  • Encouragement Tools: Printable affirmations and mom-centered self-care supports.
  • Guides & Flowcharts: Simple explanations of complex processes, in plain language.
  • Community Connection: Spaces for moms to share experiences, wins, and resources.

My heart is to remind you that you don’t have to go through this alone. With the right guidance and community, you and your child can step into this new chapter with confidence and peace.
